You will be met by our representative outside the arrival area with your name. He will welcome us then drive us to our hotel in Thamel. On arrival at the hotel, we will be given our room keys and we take our luggage to our rooms and return to the lobby for a quick briefing, thereafter free to roam around in the streets of Thamel. It is advised that we have our dinner in the BLACK OLIVE RESTAURANT. Overnight at Hotel Budy or Kathmandu Grand or similar.

After breakfast we depart from our hotel to visit 1) Swayambhu Stupa , known as monkey temple because of monkeys in abundance. 2) Patan visit includes Pim Bahal, Golden Temple, Kumbheswar (Pashupatinath in Patan), Banglamukhi ( consort of lord Shiva), Patan Durbar Square with incredible wood carvings of various temples and the palace and finally visit the living goddess 3) We then drive to Baudhanath the largest stupa in the world and have lunch in a roof top café. We then return to our hotel.

We drive to Sundarijal, the start point of The Helambu trek in the northeast corner of the Kathmandu valley. Then the trail climbs through wet, subtropical forest to an oak forest and on to Mulkharka, a scattered Tamang village. The t rail again ascends through oak forest to a pass called Burlung Bhanjyang. After Sivapuri ridge the trail descends to a flat area known as Chisapani for the night. Overnight at lodge.

The trail continues to drop from Chisapani on a good, sometimes level trail that crosses meadows and fields. Patibhanjyanj is on a saddle at the bottom of the ridge at 1770m. then the trail heads north out of Patibhanjyang along the forested ridge and then descends to a large Chorten, the Tmang village of Gul Bhanjyanj to another pass at2620m. This is the point from where we can see Gulbhanjhyang clearly. The trail then descends to Kutumasang at 2470m for an overnight stop. Overnight at lodge.

The trail climbs above Kutumasang on a steep, eroded trail, mostly through fir and rhododendron forest where there are no permanent settlement. Then the trail descends to Magen Goth (3150m) for lunch.. The trek continues to Yurin Danda with magnificent views of the Himalayas It finally reaches Tharepati for an overnight stay. Overnight at lodge.

We trek steeply down a ravine and enters beautiful mixed forest almost immediately. After descending a minor ridge the track enters looks like a minor river bed. There is a kharka to the south do not go to this. The vegetation changes to large firs then to oaks and rhododendron crossing over a stream on a suspension bridge, the trail makes a short final climb to reach the prosperous Sherpa village of Melamchigaon . There are more than 100 houses loosely scattered around the gompa on a plain with good cropping land.The villagers have many cows and crossbreeds; most are kept at higher pastures in the summer and simple jungle camps for the rest of the year. From Melamchigaon the trail continues its descent to the Melamchi Khola. After crossing the suspension bridge the trail begins climbing up the other side of the valley towards Tarkeghyang. It is a long climb to this picturesque village at 2600m. Situated on a shelf high above the river.Tarkeghyang is the largest village in Helambu and the destination for the most trekkers in this region. It is a good place to take a rest. Overnight at lodge.

Yangrima 3771m is best view point of the area. in addition to the entire Jugal range to the north, snow peaks form the east and west skyline. The 1200m climb takes more than 4 hours, so we must leave at 4AM.So we must have chocolate bars and pack lunch and plenty of water. From the summit we will be able to see Mt Everest, Cho Oyu, Gauri Shankar, Shisa Pangma, Ganesh Himal and Manaslu group including Lamjung Himal. The descend is considerably quicker. Tarkegyang is inhabited by Yolmo (Hyalmo) tribe, descendents from Tibetan tribe who are a hybrid between Tamang and Sherpa clans. Overnight at lodge.

From Tarkeghyang the Following the walk with marvelous views of rolling hills to Shermathang, another pleasant Yolmo village for the lunch. We shall its old monastery. After lunch we trek downhill , towards flat land till it reaches a newly built stapa and a statue of Guru Rimpoche. Then walking downhill into the pine forest to Kakani village and we stay here for the night.

From Kakani the trail drops down to the small village of Dubochaur (1500m). From hear the trail continues to descedt even more steeply down the ridge to the confluence of the Indrawoti and the Melamchi rivers. After crossing the suspension bridge over the Melamchi river we .will reach Melamchi Bazaar. After lunch we will drive to Kathmandu that will take 3 hours. Overnight at Hotel Budy or Kathmandu Grand or similar.
