Upon our arrival in the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, we will be greeted by a representative from Himalayan Envpro who will take to our hotel. After checking in, we take a rest. We may also stroll in the streets of Thamel, a tourist hub in Kathmandu. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner hosted by Himalayan Envpro where you will be served excellent Nepalese cuisine which will introduce you to the country's food culture.

Today after breakfast we enjoy a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu which are also listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites. We visit the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath), the historic Patan Durbar Square, and Buddhist shrine (Bouddhanath), which is the largest stupas in the world. We take our light lunch at the roof top café overlooking the beautiful stupa.

We depart Kathmandu after breakfast that will take about 7 hours. In Pokhara we will have time to explore the lakeside. We shall stay in Hotel Big Pillow Inn or similar near lakeside.

We drive through Pokhara early in the morning. We will enjoy magnificent views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, the five peaks of Annapurna and others. Later, we drive to Syauli Bazaar and start the trek to Ghandruk. The village is one of the largest Gurung settlements and there is at least one male member a Gurkha soldier, still serving or retired. It used to be the hub of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project, to promote various ecological projects.

In Ghandruk, we enjoy astonishing views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli Mountains. From here we continue upwards through Deurali and into the dense rhododendron forests. The Rhododendron is Nepal’s national flower and when they bloom, the forests turn into gardens of dazzling red flowers when seen from the air or from afar. After trekking over a small pass we reach Tadapani where enjoy excellent closer views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna and Hiunchuli mountains. There are many Tibetans in the village who sell things for the tourists to take back home as souvenirs.

After Tadapani we leave the main trail and for the next five days we will walk in a more remote area of the Annapurna region. We begin our trek by entering into a beautiful rhododendron and oak forest on an upward trail. Then after a small descent we continue climbing to the shoulder of a hill through a rhododendron forest that is reminiscent of images from Lord of the Rings. We also pass several clearings with abandoned shacks before arriving on a bigger ridge top clearing at Dobato, which in good weather should provide splendid views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre. We continue ascending up to Bayeli Kharka. From the village, we enjoy arresting views of Mt. Dhaulagiri which is the seventh highest mountain in the world.

After breakfast, we descend through open ground and beautiful forest to reach the pastures of Sistibung.. Next, we ascend to an undulating grassy landscape we might even spot the colorful Impeyan Pheasant (Danphe), the national bird of Nepal, as well as Himalayan Thar on the grassy ridge high above the trail. We then travel through bamboo thicket then arrive at the alpine area above the tree line. We then contour round the mountain flank with commanding views to the south. From Khopra Ridge, we see the tip of Annapurna South. Upon reaching Khopra we go for a short walk down Khopra Ridge to a viewpoint overlooking Kali Gandaki river far below in this deep valley. From Khopra we also admire the stunning mountain panorama including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Annapurna South.

Today we leave at 5AM and embark on a long journey to Khaire Lake from where we attain excellent views of the Fang and surrounding mountains. Considered to be a sacred lake by the Hindus, it is believed that bathing in the lake will help attain Nirvana. Some even worship here to be fulfilled their wish to have a child if they have not got any. As Hinduism and Buddhism are intricately related in Nepal, we can even see a number of Hindu and Buddhist shrines on the lakeside. For those of us, who do not want to walk all the way to the lake, a half day walk from Khopra can also be arranged. Hopefully we will arrive by 1 pm at Khopra from Khaire Lake.

We leave Khopra Ridge and walk down to Upper Sistibung then descend through rhododendron forest to a clearing above the stream. There is a lodge and we shall have lunch here. After the lunch we shall cross the stream then traverse through the bamboo thickets and lush forest and arrive at Swanta. This is a Pun village. We shall stay here for the night.

After breakfast we descend to a small stream then the trail climbs up through forest to the village of Chitre and cross the main Annapurna Trail which leads to Ghorepani. We continue in a southerly direction on a trail that goes through rhododendron and oak forest. Our trek crosses open animal grazing areas with excellent views towards Dhaulagiri, Tukche Peak and several minor peaks. When we arrive at a beautiful spot we shall stop here for lunch. After lunch we will trek up onto the prominent ridge on the south side of Poon Hill 3291m and follow the trail heading to the lodge at Mohare Danda 3300. This is an excellent view point from where we will be able to see Machhapuchhare, Lamjung Himal, the Annapurnas and Dhaulagiri and many more. We will be able to see many series of mountain ranges and valleys to the south.

Today there will be an early call to view the great sunrise over the Himalayan summits. After the breakfast we shall continue our trek southward along an impressive ridge. It is open forest then in the forested area with several meadows. We will pass by Himapal Pass 2990m and from there the trail drops rather steeply for a long time until we reach a large village of Lesper 2100m. We shall have lunch and then explore the afternoon.

We have to leave Lesper early so that we will arrive Pokhara by mid afternoon. This is a very special day as it provides special views as we descend southward. The trail traverses the south side of Pati Khola valley passing through a mixture of forest and terraced land. We shall also pass by small villages such as Keng and Khuinjari. We shall see people busy with their life and daily life activities. After a special trek this morning we reach the roadside of Pokhara Baglung Highway . We board our waiting bus down to Pokhara and reach there in about two hours. We checked-in in our hotel and explore the lakeside. We shall have dinner to celebrate our great trek.

We shall depart Pokhara early in the morning by land transport so that we have time to shop and explore Kathmandu. Evening: farewell dinner.

Our journey in Nepal comes to an end today. A Himalayan Envpro representative will escort you to the airport approximately 3 hours before our scheduled flight. We shall have our breakfast at the hotel before departing.
